Scott Robinson back for Hearts v Dinamo Bucharest

HEARTS manager Gary Locke is set to welcome back Scott Robinson to his lightweight squad for tonight’s opening pre-season clash against Dinamo Bucharest, with the midfielder returning from a four-month injury lay-off which included knee surgery.

But the Tynecastle side will be without newly-appointed captain Danny Wilson for the match at Leigh Sports Village in Greater Manchester as the defender bids to shake off a thigh strain that has left him playing catch-up since his on-off signing saga ended with him finally being allowed to join the administration-hit Edinburgh club.

The game against the Romanians is also set to come too soon for midfielder Callum Paterson, who underwent surgery after tearing a ligament in his foot during training in February.

Locke, who is also operating under a signing embargo, said: “Scott will be okay. He’s trained a lot over pre-season so he will get a run out at some point on Tuesday.

“Callum and Danny are still a bit behind. They have not been able to do any of the pre-season as yet but they’re working hard with the physio and I’m hoping they’ll be back in the next few days.”

Hearts have secured free transport to the fixture thanks to the generosity of coach provider Charlie Irons.
