Randall spent the 2017/18 season at Tynecastle on loan from Hearts where he filled in in a number positions, including the centre of midfield and at full-back.

He played 27 times and started the club’s 4-0 thumping of Celtic in Gorgie to end Brendan Rodgers side’s 69-match unbeaten domestic record.

Randal becomes the club’s second signing in as many days, following the addition of Rangers midfielder Stephen Kelly on loan.

Staggies boss Stuart Kettlewell said: “We are delighted to get Connor into the club. He is a player, at only 24, that has some terrific experience behind him, and we, and I am sure our fans, will look forward to seeing what he is going to bring to us in the coming weeks and months.”

“Right now the transfer market is extremely tough, but we are still managing to showcase the club in the best possible ways and this is only demonstrated by the desire we see from players like Connor in wanting to join up with us and play a part in our plans and ambitions.”
