SPL Fanzone: Hearts

AN UNBELIEVABLE performance by Hearts on Saturday was capped by a truly remarkable one from Rudi. The word legend is bandied around too often, but for me it certainly applies to Skacel.

At 2-1 down, with ten men and with referee Steven Maclean having a nightmare of a game it did not look hopeful. But it was probably our best performance of the season given the circumstances. Sergio also deserves some credit for fostering a team spirit in trying times – there appears to be some sort of a siege mentality developing at Hearts.

Romanov was fully aware of the issue surrounding the wages for this month and for them not to be fully paid on time is a disgrace. That this was revealed on the same day he says he may well retain the club makes him more of a laughing stock than he already was. That said, a points deduction would never be justified for this and a transfer embargo is a far more appropriate penalty, should one be required.
