SPL Fanzone: Hearts

Normally for Hearts, when it comes to the last day of the transfer window, it is all speculation about arrivals rather than hoping the squad remains intact.

There has been talk of a number of players leaving but, going into the last few hours, it centred around Templeton and Zaliukas. I would prefer to keep both until the end of the season when a proper clearout can be managed without a game very week.

Given that we have extended the contracts of Jamie MacDonald and Mark Ridgers, it seems Kello will be leaving either in the window or at the end of the season. He has been brilliant for us and I do have some concerns about MacDonald’s ability as a long-term replacement. Saturday is always the preference for a cup tie but, in our current position, the TV cash for the game against St Johnstone will be welcome, as long as it doesn’t affect the crowd too much.
