SPL Fanzone: Hearts

Sunday was a disappointment from a Hearts perspective. As enjoyable as it was reminding Hibs of the cup final score I felt we were below par on the pitch. Whilst I can understand John McGlynn wanting to keep the same starting 11 that had beaten St Johnstone, Scott Robinson has been poor in both games and he will have to rethink his midfield selection. Sutton for me looks lost on his own up front and we need to urgently sign a striker to give us a better balance in attack.

The only silver lining is that fact that we played as poorly in a derby as we have for some time, and still Hibs couldn’t beat us. We did have chances to get the second but, given our performance and the fact that it was at Easter Road, I was reasonably happy with a draw. Whilst the suspension for Templeton is the correct decision, it is disappointing that the officials didn’t seem to notice the treatment he was getting from several Hibs players.
