McGlynn in frame for Bairns

FORMER Hearts manager John McGlynn has emerged as a contender for the Falkirk job.

McGlynn, who is also in the running to take the reins at First Division rivals Livingston, is understood to be on a shortlist drawn up by the Bairns board. Ex-Scotland and Hearts
defender David Weir, however, is out of contention for the role as he would have to relocate from England for the post.

Falkirk are due to face Hibs next month in the Scottish Cup semi-finals.
