Jamie Walker urges Hearts to up game at Kilmarnock

HEARTS hope to capitalise on Kilmarnock’s disappointment at missing out on the SPL’s top six by winning in Ayrshire this weekend.

Dundee’s victory at Rugby Park ten days ago ensured
Kilmarnock were denied a place in the top half of the table by a narrow margin.

Jamie Walker, the Hearts winger, explained today that the Edinburgh club intend to show no mercy on Saturday when they visit Ayrshire as the bottom six begin their fixtures.

Hearts are on a high following a 4-2 win over Ross County in their final pre-split match.

“It was good to win the game and score four goals,” said Walker. “We had been struggling for points and goals before that game, so it’s given us a massive lift for the rest of the season. Everyone was buzzing afterwards.

“We’ll now just try and win as many games as we can between now and the end of the
season and hopefully try and get seventh.

“Kilmarnock will be a bit
gutted after just missing out on the top six in their last game so hopefully we can take
advantage of that.”
