The new away kit goes on sale next Thursday, June 7, and is available for supporters to pre-order now. As our exclusive picture shows, it comprises a white shirt with maroon stripes, maroon shorts and predominantly white socks. The agreement follows the expiry of Hearts’ previous deal with Umbro and entitles Adidas to provide all playing, training and replica kit for the Edinburgh club. A new home strip will be launched later this summer.

Hearts’ managing director David Southern said: “We are delighted to welcome Adidas, whose credentials are second to none. This new exciting partnership once again demonstrates Hearts’ ability to attract some of the top names in football and underlines the club’s stature in the game.”

Steve Holland, Adidas national sales manager, said: “We are delighted to partner with Hearts for the first time in their history and we look forward to a number of initiatives and marketing activations all aimed at bringing the club, Adidas and the fans together.”

All Hearts kit and trainingwear will feature Adidas performance fabrics ClimaCool and ClimaLite technology, a mixture of heat and moisture-controlling materials, ventilation channels and 3D fabrics which improve air flow to the skin and in key heat zones.

Hearts supporters can pre- order the 2012/13 away kit until midnight on Wednesday, June 6, by visiting www.heartsdirect.co.uk.

Adult shirts are priced £41.99, with kids shirts £31.99.
