Derby sports White Ribbon

The new year Edinburgh derby will support a campaign aimed at eliminating domestic abuse.

The match at Easter Road on January 2 will see the Hibs mascot carrying a giant white ribbon – the emblem for the charity behind the appeal – onto the pitch.

It is the third year the police-backed White Ribbon campaign has used both Hibs and Hearts to push the message.

Players from either side will also wear white ribbons, as will police officers on duty at the match, which is expected to have over 15,000 spectators. For more campaign details visit www.whiteribbonscotland.org.uk
