Charity call to Hearts fans

Hearts fans are being urged to turn out in force for the chance to play in an Easter Road derby as part of the Rivals4Charity project.

The match between fans of the Jambos and Hibs, a tradition now in its sixth year, will take place on Sunday, April 1 at the home stadium of Hearts’ biggest rivals. Last year’s charity game, at Tynecastle, saw Alan McKay’s Hearts side overcome their cross-city counterparts by 8-1, and Dean Philp’s Hibs will be keen to exact revenge this time around.

Hearts fans gunning for the place in McKay’s Maroons squad for the match are invited to attend a trial tomorrow at 7-9pm at the Spartans Academy at Ainslie Park.
