Kenny Miller among top earners in US league
Miller will earn $1.13 million this season (£730,000). The former Rangers, Celtic and Hibernian striker has played just three of a possible eleven games for the Vancouver Whitecaps this season, scoring two goals.
Miller’s salary is almost ten-times that of the average MLS player. The total yearly payroll of the Major League Soccer is $89 million, which is less than half of what reigning English Premier League champions Manchester City pay their first-team squad.

That figure is dwarfed by the salary of his teammate and fellow Scot Adam Moffat. The former Ross County and Elgin midfielder has played in the MLS since 2007, and stands to make $161,000 (£103,000) this term.
Arsenal legend and New York Red Bulls striker Thierry Henry is the highest-paid player in the league, earning over $4.3 million dollars a season.
