Hearts drop tickets prices to £5

Hearts are bidding to fill Tynecastle for their next home match by dropping all ticket prices to £5 for the visit of St Mirren on Saturday, May 4.

The significant price reduction for the clash with the Buddies has been made as a gesture of gratitude to supporters for sticking with the club through a difficult season, although away fans will also be able to get in on the deal as Hearts aim to ensure another sell-out crowd after attracting a full-house the last time the Paisley side came to Gorgie in November.

Hearts director Sergejus
Fedotovas said: “The fans’ support this season has been exceptional, particularly through the share issue, and with a continued commitment to the club until the end of the season we now have a better opportunity to continue our rebuilding work through the summer months.

“The last time we played St Mirren at Tynecastle, on 17th November, the club was facing the very real possibility of it being our last game. Since then, with the fans’ backing, the outlook has improved, albeit we must continue to fill Tynecastle at every opportunity to help maintain our recovery. To make this achievable we are offering every available seat in the ground for the St Mirren game at only £5. In this way we hope that supporters will fill Tynecastle for a game that will be crucial in achieving as high a place finish as possible and again helping our financial
position.

“To us and the players this is not simply a typical end of season post-split fixture, it is much more than that and we hope the fans will back the team once again.”

Tickets for the Buddies’ match go on sale today. The clash with Danny Lennon’s men will be one of only two home games remaining for the Gorgie side, with Hibs due to visit in the
penultimate match of the
season, on Sunday, May 12.
