Hearts could win title at Rangers’ Ibrox ground

HEARTS could win the Scottish Championship title at the ground of title rivals Rangers – who face having their hopes of automatic promotion extinguished by April 5.

Hearts, who are 22 points clear of Rangers but have played three games more, could decide the league title with a win at Ibrox on April 5 if preceding results work out in their favour.

Robbie Neilson’s side face five games against Raith Rovers, Dumbarton, Cowdenbeath, Falkirk and Queen of the South before travelling to Ibrox. Should they win all of those games – and Rangers win their seven fixtures – then the two teams will be separated by 16 points.

Hearts would only need a draw at Ibrox to win the title should Rangers drop three points in their next seven games – and a tricky tie against Hibernian at Easter Road would be the place that would be most likely to happen.
