Hearts' Jose Goncalves to sit out Rangers test

HEARTS defender Jose Goncalves will sit out his side's match against Rangers on Saturday.

The Portuguese defender, 24, is back in Edinburgh after having specialist treatment on a thigh injury in Germany.

Manager Csaba Laszlo confirmed Goncalves was back in light training but would not be risked for the trip to Ibrox.

"Jose Goncalves, next week – Monday – he'll train with the team," Laszlo said.

"This weekend, we don't like to take the risk.

"The treatment in Germany for him was okay.

"Today he's back but next week, Monday, he'll be in full training."
