Gunn festival is a big hit

THIS year's Cameron Gunn Festival in the Borders was another big success with thousands of youngsters taking part at Netherdale.

The under-6 to under-12 categories involved fun games before the Scottish Borders Junior FA cup finals for under-13, 14, 15 and 17s were held.

Hawick won the under-13 final, beating Kelso 1-0, but Kelso's under-14 side went a step further, defeating Duns 4-2 in their final.

Kelso also won the Cameron Gunn Memorial Trophy at the under-15 level, defeating Lauder 4-3. The Chris Doyle Memorial Cup for the under-17s was contested by Gala Fairydean and Hawick with Gala winning 2-1.
