The SFA board met at Hampden today to begin the process of finding his successor but in the meantime Peat will take over the role.

It is understood that SFA vice-president and Hearts managing director Campbell Ogilvie, who had been tipped as a potential candidate, is not in contention.

However, it is understood that Ogilvie will not ask to be considered, nor does he expect to be asked as he awaits his turn to be president when Peat retires next year.
