Gary Miller lured by Europe

St JOHNSTONE have confirmed the signing of right-back Gary Miller, who played a vital role in Ross County’s First Division championship success last season.

The ex-Livingston player did not renew his contract with the Staggies and has signed a one-year Saints deal.

“This is a great opportunity for me,” the 25-year-old told St Johnstone’s official website. “It was a big decision to make after five years with Ross County and their promotion to the SPL, but I believe this is the right thing for me. County are a great club, and I wish them all the best.

“I spoke to Alex Cleland [Saints under-19 coach] who was my youth coach at Livingston and that has influenced me.

“I had options elsewhere but I’m looking forward to getting started with the Europa League being a new experience for me.”
