French and English flavour to Scotland U20s

Billy Stark has called up former England youth international Luke Hendrie for his Scotland under-20 squad.

The Manchester United midfielder will join a 20-man squad for the ADO Den Haag Youth Tournament in the Netherlands, subject to Fifa clearance, as Scotland take on group opponents Cruzeiro, FK Senica and Club Brugge on May 31-June 3.

The 18-year-old Leeds-born player, whose father is former Middlesbrough winger John Hendrie, has already represented England at under-16 and under-17 level.

French-born Sunderland striker Mikael Mandron, who made his first-team debut last month, has also been called into the squad. The 6ft 3in forward also qualifies to play for England.

The squad also includes Hibernian pair Daniel Handling and Alex Harris as well as Kilmarnock right-back Ross Barbour.
