Easter Monday

THE race for the SPL top six continues at McDiarmid Park as St Johnstone face Dundee United tonight. In England, Chelsea host Manchester United at Stamford Bridge in an FA Cup quarter-final replay at lunchtime, there’s a London derby between Fulham and QPR in the evening, while a West Midlands showdown between Birmingham and Wolves is the highlight of a busy afternoon of npower League action. The men’s world curling championships continue in Canada, while in Super League, leaders Wigan travel to Hull KR.

Tuesday

CHAMPIONS League quarter-final first legs feature Bayern Munich v Juventus and PSG v Barcelona. It’s second against third in the npower Championship as Hull City host Watford, while Huddersfield travel to Bolton, and there are home matches north of the border for Hamilton, Livingston, Raith, Brechin and Queen’s Park. Cycling’s Tour of the Basque Country enters its second stage, from Elgoibar to Vitoria-Gasteiz. There are race meetings at Exeter, Kempton and Southwell.

CHAMPIONS League surprise package Malaga entertain Borussia Dortmund, while Galatasaray travel to the Bernabeu Stadium to face Real Madrid in the quarter-finals. In cricket’s Indian Premier League, Kolkata Knight Riders take on Delhi Daredevils. Scotland’s curlers play against Sweden and Norway in the World Championships in Victoria, British Columbia. INVERNESS Caledonian Thistle host

St Johnstone in Friday night SPL action, while Port Vale take on Burton Albion in npower League Two. Rugby union’s Amlin Challenge Cup quarter-finals feature Perpignan v Toulouse and Wasps v Leinster. In Super League, it’s Castleford v Huddersfield and London v Bradford. The Valero Texas Open in San Antonio enters its second day, while Great Britain’s tennis team takes on Russia in the Davis Cup. Glasgow Rocks travel to face Newcastle Giants in the British Basketball League. There is racing at Aintree, Leicester, Sedgefield and Wolverhampton.
