Euro 2012: Andriy Voronin retires from Ukraine side

Andriy Voronin became the second Ukraine striker to quit the national team after the Euro 2012 defeat by England following Andriy Shevchenko’s similar decision.

“I have chosen to focus on a club career because I am not young enough to combine both roles,” he said after the 1-0 defeat.

Earlier, Shevchenko, who is 35, announced he would retire from the national team after he plays in a friendly to say farewell to the fans.
