Edinburgh University 0-4 Spartans: Kevin puts Spartans in Motion

Spartans were back to their clinical best at University.

They almost took the lead from a Kevin Motion header, but goalkeeper Mark Tait 
managed to get a hand to it.

Motion did score when he fired in a shot following a clearance from the home defence.

Spartans doubled their lead within a minute when Keith McLeod broke into the box and he was fouled by Tait. McLeod took the spot kick and sent the keeper the wrong way. Uni again didn’t clear their lines when a corner was played in and Motion fired home from close range.

Uni started the second half brighter and Beacher almost pulled one back when his cross-cum-shot nearly caught out Chris Flockhart but the keeper pushed the ball over the bar. Sean Wringe then sealed the points for Spartans when he slotted the ball into the net from close range.
