Edinburgh Uni pay penalty

Edinburgh found themselves in front when a ball was whipped in by Struan Woodhouse and Keith Glendinning turned the ball into this own net.

Stirling almost pulled one back when Craig Mason’s header from close range looked net bound. Mark Tait got a hand on it but the ball fell back to Mason and his second effort from close range was gathered by Tait.

Edinburgh scored a second very similar to their first when the ball got caught up in the wind and came off a defender and nestled in the net. Chris Geddes then pulled one back for Stirling before Paul Sludden then levelled for the visitors, smashing the ball in when left unmarked in the box. Just as it looked like there would be a share of the spoils Geddes went a on a run and broke into the Edinburgh box, the referee then awarded a penalty to Stirling. Confusion surrounded the decision but Geddes stepped up and converted the spot-kick.
