Stirling made the perfect start with Craig McLeish shooting them ahead after 11 minutes.

Both sides had chances in the second half but Stirling came closest to taking the points when John Crawley, later sent off, hit the crossbar.

Dumbarton 1 - 0 Brechin City

Paul McManus hit the post early on for Brechin who pressed for much of the first half.

Brechin’s Craig Nelson was unlucky, saving a Scott Agnew penalty in the 89th minute only for Bryan Prunty to score the rebound.

Stenhousemuir 2 - 3 Forfar Athletic

Ross McMillan headed Stenhousemuir in front but Forfar hit back with Chris Templeman.

Forfar’s Mark McCulloch then scored an own goal, but Templeman equalised and Martyn Fotheringham struck a last-minute winner.

Cowdenbeath 2 - 0 Airdrie United

Marc McKenzie, with his fifth goal of the season, broke the deadlock eight minutes from half-time.

Mark Ramsay shot the second from the penalty spot after 58 minutes to put the league leaders eight points clear.
