Early red is the difference for Hill of Beath

The pivotal moment of this match came after only ten minutes when the referee controversially showed a red card to ’Burgh striker Ryan McCallum for an off the ball incident.

Five minutes later, the visitors took the lead when Calvin Shand fouled Ross Allum in the box and Darrin Wright converted the spot-kick.

Musselburgh got an equaliser after 35 minutes when a 
Connor Thomson cross found Mattie King at the back post and he took a touch before firing the ball high into the net.

Against the run of play, Hill O’Beath got the winner just after the hour mark when a low cross from the left was deflected into the net by the unfortunate Gary Hamilton. The home side pressed for an equaliser and were unlucky not to find it after a glaring chance in the dying minutes of the encounter.
