Brian Cameron opened the scoring for the visitors and Craig Gunn and Ross O’Donoghue gave Elgin a three-goal cushion at the break.

Dennis Wyness added Elgin’s fourth before the hosts’ Kevin Turner notched a consolation on the hour.

Montrose 0, Annan 0

After an insipid opening period, Montrose’s David Grey forced the first save of the match from Alex Mitchell in the 51st minute.

Michael Daly then headed wide for Annan before Montrose passed up a marvellous chance to snatch an injury time winner as Paul Lunan’s shot struck the post.

Peterhead 1, Queen’s Park 0

A late Rory McAllister penalty earned Peterhead a hard-fought win at Balmoor.

The home side dominated with visiting goalkeeper Neil Parry

saving well from McAllister in the seventh minute.

In the 82nd minute, McAllister converted a spot-kick to seal the win.

Stirling 0, Clyde 1

Clyde emerged as 1-0 victors over Stirling Albion in a feisty encounter at Forthbank.

Kevin Watt to fired home a crisp opener for the visitors in the 24th.

Stirling battled for an equaliser but Scott Davidson’s 78th-minute shot against the crossbar was as close as they came.
