Derek Adams sees SPL dream come true for Ross County

DEREK Adams last night hailed a bright new era for north football after Ross County sealed their long-held SPL dream.

Some 18 years after entering the Scottish Leagues as shock winners of the ballot, the Dingwall team are heading for the top flight. A Queen of the South leveller killed Dundee’s challenge and sparked celebrations in the north of Scotland.

Adams, who attended the Dens clash last night and will watch his team take the field at Somerset Park tonight against Ayr with the title secured, said: “It was a good game and a dramatic finish. Queen of the South did well and scored a good goal.
