Cup joy for Gretna 2008

Gretna 2008 lifted the
Image Printers East of Scotland Cup with two goals in the closing stages of the first half to win 2-1.

Gretna took the lead four minutes before half-time with a magnificent 30-yard strike from Marc Shiel. Their lead was short-lived as, within a minute, Stirling equalised. A long throw-in eluded
everyone in the penalty, box but Paul Sludden steadied himself and shot home. There was still time for another goal before the break when Dean
Crozier’s deflected shot found the back of the net.

In the second half there were no more goals, but there was a red card for Stirling’s Jacob Arnold, while Gretna’s Dean Rea was also sent off.
