LEIGH Griffiths has reassured a Celtic supporter that he is going nowhere, despite talk of interest from clubs down south.
A Celtic fan tweeted: “Looks like a lot of clubs down south are getting excited about [Leigh Griffiths]. I hope we don’t sell him.”
And the striker replied: “I’m going nowhere.” (Various)
Hoops hopeful over Celina and Roberts
CELTIC are hopeful of making progress with Manchester City pair Bersant Celina and Patrick Roberts.
Celina is open to a loan move, saying: “I want to go on loan to play first team games but it’s important to find the right club.”
Meanwhile Celtic have held talks with the Etihad side over ex-Fulham striker Patrick Roberts, who signed for a reported £12 million but has made just three appearances for City. (Sky Sports)
Diagouraga ‘signed for just under £600k’
LEEDS paid just under £600,000 to sign Rangers target Toumani Diagouraga, according to reports.
Rangers were keen on the French midfielder but an initial bid was turned down by Brentford.
And the Paris-born 28-year-old joined Leeds after an offer was accepted, believed to be slightly less than £600,000.
And Rangers could look to bring in Accrington duo Matt Crooks and Josh Windass in January after missing out on Diagouraga. (Various)
Griffiths and Forrest in tunnel bust-up
LEIGH Griffiths and James Forrest reportedly needed to be separated after a bust-up in the tunnel after Celtic’s 3-1 win over St Johnstone.
It is believed Forrest took issue with his team-mate’s decision to go for goal rather than pass to his team-mate in the final minutes.
And the pair are said to have hurled insults in front of team-mates and an assistant referee before the duo were hauled into the home dressing room. (Scottish Sun)
Osman ‘keen to stay at Partick’
ABDUL Osman has said he is happy at Partick despite reported interest from elsewhere.
Osman, who has impressed for the Jags, said: “There’s been a few clubs interested, but I’m just concentrating on my football at Partick Thistle and enjoying that.
“100 per cent I’d prefer to stay, I’ve told the club that, so hopefully we’ll sort something soon.” (Evening Times)
Mohsni drops down league to join Paris FC
FORMER Rangers defender Bilel Mohsni has joined Paris FC in France’s Ligue 2, dropping down a league after leaving Angers.
But the Tunisian international claims he is not making a step down despite Paris struggling at the wrong end of the French second tier.
Mohsni said: “I joined Paris because I wasn’t getting games at Angers.
“I know we are battling against relegation but I will do everything I can to save the club.” (Daily Record)
Hibs clinch Virtanen signing
HIBS made their fifth signing of the January window yesterday, bringing in Finnish goalkeeper Otso Virtanen on a three and a half year deal.

Dons trial Macedonian stopper
ABERDEEN have taken Macedonian defender Shaip Tela on trial as Derek McInnes looks to bolster his squad.
The 18-year-old, currently with Neuchatel Xamax in Switzerland, featured for the Dons in an Under-20 match against St Johstone, in his secondary position of midfield.
