Dundee boss Neil McCann was furious with referee John Beaton after the whistler decided to book Stokes for striking Jack Hendry in the groin area during their 2-1 defeat at Easter Road.

Paton, meanwhile, appeared to elbow Celtic captain Scott Brown during his side’s 4-0 loss to the reigning champions at McDiarmid Park. He was also punished with a yellow card by match official Bobby Madden.
