Livingston saw their lead at the top cut to seven points after they slipped up 1-0 at home to East Fife.

A late goal from Jason Kerr, right, settled it but the home side only had themselves to blame for failing to take their chances. Scott Pittman hit the crossbar in Livingston’s first raid and Rafa De Vita shot narrowly over as East Fife rode their luck early on.

Nikolay Todorov should have done better for Livingston with the East Fife defence stretched again but could not apply the desired finish.

Kerr finally broke the deadlock with six minutes left when he knocked the ball home following Nick Paterson’s free-kick.

Alloa took full advantage as they moved closer to the summit with a 2-1 win at home to Stenhousemuir.

Dylan Mackin put Alloa in front with six minutes of the first half left, but Thomas Grant equalised
15 minutes into the second half before Greig Spence settled it with a late penalty – his 21st goal of the season.

An injury-time goal from Sean McIntosh gave Airdrieonians a 4-3 win at Albion Rovers in the Lanarkshire derby.

Three times Albion came back from behind only for McIntosh to break their hearts.

Jack Leitch opened the scoring for Airdrie but Ross Davidson equalised just after the break. Andy Ryan restored Airdrie’s lead only for Ryan Wallace to equalise from the penalty spot. Airdrie were back in front with 14 minutes left through a stunning strike from Iain Russell. Wallace equalised with two minutes left but McIntosh won it for Airdrie shortly afterwards.

Brechin City won 1-0 at Peterhead thanks to a second-half strike from Andy Jackson.

Stranraer and Queen’s Park drew 1-1. Queen’s Park who took the lead after 32 minutes when Ross Millen thrashed home a penalty kick after David Galt had been fouled. Craig Malcolm equalised for Stranraer with 14 minutes left before Adam Cummins was sent off for Queen’s Park after picking up his second yellow card.
