Colombia honour notorious Higuita

FAMED for his outrageous 'scorpion kick' performed during a Wembley friendly against England in 1995, Colombian goalkeeper Rene Higuita is this weekend poised to say his farewells to the football field.

Higuita will be honoured in a testimonial match in his home country to which Higuita's good friend Diego Maradona has been invited, alongside Brazilian stars Ronaldo and Ronaldinho.

Higuita is also notorious for serving time in prison after acting as a go-between in a kidnapping case involving drugs barons Pablo Escobar and Carlos Molina.
