Clelland gets call-up as Scots women face Cameroon

SPARTANS midfielder Lana Clelland has won her first call-up to the Scotland women’s national side.

Anna Signeul has named the Ainslie Park player in an 18-strong squad to face Cameroon later this month.

Former Scotland under-19 star Eilish McSorley, who plays for Glasgow City, has also been handed her first cap for the match, which will be hosted by the African side at their Aberdeen training base.

They are joined in the pool of players by Hibs’ Frankie Brown, Joelle Murray and Shannon Lynn, while former Easter Road goalkeeper Gemma Fay is also included.

The match will be played at the Chris Anderson Stadium, Aberdeen Sports Village, on Sunday, July 15, kick-off 3pm.
