Charlie Adam is the saviour as Dundee battle back to avoid surprise defeat at Alloa

Dundee rescued a point against Alloa in the Scottish Championship, battling back from two goals down to draw 3-3 at the Indodrill Stadium.

Robert Thomson fired the Wasps ahead on 27 minutes as the hosts went in 1-0 ahead at the break.

Declan McDaid equalised for Dundee two minutes into the second half, but Kevin Cawley restored Alloa’s lead before Alan Trouten bagged a third on 63 minutes.

James McPake’s Dundee team rallied, however. Cammy Kerr netted 76 minutes after Charlie Adam’s free-kick struck the post, before Adam netted from the spot eight minutes later to ensure a share of the spoils.

The result gives Alloa their first point of the league campaign, while Dundee are on four points after the same number of matches
