Charles Green lodges £50k ahead of Rangers legal fees appeal

Charles Green has lodged £50,000 with the court as he continues his battle to make Rangers FC pay his legal fees, according to reports.

The former Ibrox chief is currently trying to make the club pay his costs in the upcoming criminal trial. It is thought the amount will total somewhere around £500,000.

He faces charges along with four other men, one of whom is former Rangers owner Craig Whyte, regarding the purchase of Rangers.

Green claims Rangers should pay his costs as part of his contract with the club.

His bid was thrown out late last year but Green has since appealed.
