Changing Room Chat: Rooney to watch his colt’s debut

WAYNE Rooney is expected to be at Chester tomorrow to witness the debut of his two-year-old colt Pippy in the Manor House Stables Lily Agnes Stakes.

The Manchester United and England striker, together with his wife, Coleen, is likely to be on the Roodee as the £63,600 purchase faces 13 rivals in the five-furlong heat. Pippy is one of five horses in the race trained by Tom Dascombe at the Manor House Stables in Cheshire owned by Rooney’s team-mate Michael Owen, who is sponsoring the contest. Jamie Spencer has been booked for the ride.
