Scepovic, who has made just one substitute appearance for the Hoops this season, has previously played in Spain with Sporting Gijon, where he scored 23 goals in 39 matches.

But he has found first-team football hard to come by at Celtic, making just 26 appearances in total and finding the net six times.

Despite John Guidetti exiting Celtic Park this summer, Scepovic found himself still low down in the attacking pecking order after the arrival of Nadir Ciftci.

Ironically, Getafe were the club who almost hijacked the original deal to take Scepovic to Glasgow last summer. The striker looked to have had a change of heart on the move to Ronny Deila’s team, but made the switch in the end after the Getafe deal fell through.

Despite his relatively young age, Scepovic already has 11 clubs under his belt including Celtic and has had spells in Israel, Italy and Belgium.
