Sory Doumbouya, who had spells as a youth with FC Gueugnon and Dijon FCO before joining AS Saint-Priest, turns out for Rodez Aveyron’s reserve side in the Championnat National 3, the fifth tier of French football.

The 21-year-old signed for the southern French team in July on amateur terms but is already making waves.

Doumbouya spent time with the Dijon senior team during his stint in the Côte-d'Or and was on three occasions an unused sub.

He scored ten goals in 19 appearances for the second-string side.

He has played four times this season for Rodez Aveyron, starting twice and making two appearances off the bench, but is yet to find the net for Florent Rech’s side.

Celtic have dipped into the French market in recent seasons to great success with the acquisitions of Moussa Dembele and Odsonne Edouard.
