It is approaching that time when well over 100 footballers from around the SPFL will be out of contract. Usually it is a case of renewing their deal with their current club, exploring options or in talks to move elsewhere.

That’s not quite the case this year with all clubs in the same position of not being sure what the future holds. The more players out of contract will be beneficial to some clubs as they won’t have such a high wage budget over the summer when football isn’t getting played and lacking clarity when it comes back.
