SPL Fanzone: Celtic

A TALE of two seasons right enough! Not since the ’89 campaign have I seen as spectacular a collapse in a Celtic team. Having just won the league in our centenary year, I had hoped that we’d build on that success. Instead we regressed – spectacularly.

Again, finishing last season with the Cup and a good showing in the league, I had great expectations for this season. However, it’s more like Bleak House and, unlike Oliver Twist, I don’t want any more! We appear to be bereft of inspiration, motivation and perspiration and quite where the spark is going to come from is beyond me. Sadly, it also appears to be beyond our inexperienced and hamstrung management team. Rumours of fall-outs and players believing their own hype are rife. Until these are resolved, a two to six game winning run looks as far away as a 26-game one!
