SPL Fanzone: Celtic

PLAYING catch-up (again) on Saturday meant the pressure was on Celtic to respond. And they did, turning in a great first-half display with well-crafted goals.

Sadly, the team felt the game was won by half-time and allowed Dundee United back into it after the break.

The only criticism I would levy is that we lack the killer instinct in front of goal that would see us close out games and prevent the perennial 15 minutes of uncertainty that we always endure in these games (see Killie and Hearts).

Delighted to hear that Super Hooper wants to stay at Celtic. It is important to retain all members of the squad for the run-in and Hoops still has a vital part to play. While I appreciate the need to turn a profit, weakening the squad at this stage just does not make sense.

However, with taxes and death being the only certainties in life, nothing would surprise me!
