SPL Fanzone: Celtic

The perennial wise-men of punditry are harping on about what a dull season it will be for Celtic fans as we are supposed to just turn up and stroll our way to the title. Oh, really? Have the two cup wins by the so-called cannon fodder of the SPL been forgotten already? Both cup winners beat Celtic on the way. The narrow win over a well-organised Aberdeen team is more indicative of what we’re going to face this year.

Hopefully, Dylan McGeouch will make a speedy recovery from his broken jaw. He was one of the few players who did not look out of place against Real Madrid. Whilst I understand the need to raise revenue, I’d have preferred to see Celtic in the league at the weekend. So, a wee trip to the Metropolis of Dingwall up next. With The Staggies guarding a year-long unbeaten run, the pressure will be on Celtic.
