Gareth Wales posted the picture online along with Brown’s Twitter handle, as well as the comment “Gardeners on site have just reached over the wall and chopped Brooonys trees down ad be gon [I’d be going] mental.”

However Brown hit back this evening on his official Twitter account, saying: “Anyone see the poor attempt the guy put in the paper today?” Brown also suggested that Wales had taken a range of other photos of his home, and subsequently deleted them.

Gareth Wales was let go by his employers after posting the picture showing other workers at the Scotland international midfielder’s home apparently cutting down trees without permission. Brown’s legal team reportedly contacted developer AMA Homes, after which Wales was sacked.

Wales told The Sun: “It was just a joke, but I’ve been left on the breadline.

“My boss said the reason was because (Brown’s) privacy had been breached.”
