Green tells fan that agenda exists against club

Rangers chief executive Charles Green told a fan queing up outside Ibrox for a season ticket yesterday that there is an agenda against the Glasgow club and that he will continue to be outspoken in his criticism of the country’s footballing authorities.

He said that he expects to be continually fined and eventually banned for his comments.

The club also announced yesterday that close to 30,000 season tickets had been sold for its Division Three campaign.

Daily Record banned from Scotland press conference

Scotland boss Craig Levein banned reporters from the Daily Record from entering yesterday’s press conference ahead of his side’s friendly against Australia.

The Record reports that the ban stems from Levein’s dislike of their coverage of his decision to select Rangers midfielder Ian Black. (Record)

Sandaza backs Rangers to win quadruple

New Rangers signing Francisco Sandaza says Rangers have the squad to win every competition that they are competing in this year.

Ally McCoist’s side face Falkirk next in the second round of the Ramsdens Cup, are still favourites to win Division Three after drawing with Peterhead on Sunday,

Darren Fletcher steps onto comeback trail against Aberdeen

Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher played his first competitive match since November last night against Aberdeen during Neil Simpson’s benefit match in which the Pittodrie side won 2 - 1.

Templeton hit with two match ban for derby incident

Hearts winger David Templeton has been banned for two matches for kicking out at Hibs captain James McPake when the two sides met in Edinburgh derby on Sunday.

His suspension will begin with immediate effect. (Scotsman)

Queen’s Park captain sanctioned for Facebook Rangers comments

Ricky Little has been charged by the SFA for making comments about Rangers players on Facebook after he vowed to “nail a few players” when the two sides meet in the Third Division.

Little later apologised for the comments.
