Rangers liquidation: Andy Walker calls on the SFA to take charge

FORMER Celtic player Andy Walker last night called on the SFA to take charge and sort out the Rangers situation. Walker called the entire episode “bizarre” and urged the Scottish football rulers to act now.

He said: “The Scottish football scene is full of uncertainty at the moment. Celtic kick off the new season against Aberdeen and that’s normally a showpiece game the league champions can anticipate with some relish. But we can’t look forward to the campaign because we still don’t know the fate of Rangers. Will there even be any Old Firm games next season?

“The SFA should take control now. We are crying out for some leadership with the Ibrox club lurching from one crisis to another.”
