Celtic’s Ki Sung-yeung named Korean footballer of the year

Celtic midfielder Ki Sung-yueng has been named Korean Footballer of the Year after picking up the most votes from his nation’s sports writers and technical officials.

The 22-year-old beat last year’s winner, Lee Dong-Gook, to the award.

Ki, who has 44 caps for South Korea, has netted six goals for Celtic this season and was on the scoresheet in Sunday’s 2-0 win over St Johnstone in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.
