Figures posted by Financial Sports ahead of the weekend’s action show the healthy crowds turning out weekly in Glasgow for league games.

The success under Brendan Rodgers has brought packed crowds to Celtic Park with an average attendance this season of 58,556 which places them 11th in the list. The Hoops are just behind Inter Milan and Arsenal but ahead of Liverpool, Benfica, Manchester City, Ajax and AC Milan.

Rangers support continues to be one of the most loyal worldwide. Even after the club’s liquidation and demotion to the fourth tier, fans turned out in their droves as they made their way through the leagues.

Ahead of their 3-0 win over Partick Thistle, played in front of 49,502 at Ibrox, the club’s average attendance was 49,315, putting them 24th. TheY sit ahead of Paris Saint-Germain, Real Betis and Marseille.

Borussia Dortmund top the list with an average home attendance of 80.830, ahead of Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
