1) This will be the 303rd league meeting between the great rivals.

3) No player has scored a hat-trick in a Celtic v Rangers game since Ally McCoist scored three times in the 1983/84 League Cup final, which Rangers won 3-2 after extra time.

4) The league head-to-head records reads: Played 302, Rangers wins 118, Celtic wins 99, draws 85.

5) This is the 397th meeting in all competitions.

6) Overall record is: Played 397, Rangers wins 158, Celtic wins 144, draws 95.

7) Celtic’s biggest win over Rangers came in the 1957 League Cup Final. They won 7-1.

8) Rangers’ biggest win was in 1893 when they beat Celtic 5-0, although they did win 8-1 in an unofficial war fixture in 1943.

10) Rangers’ top scorer against Celtic was Robert Hamilton who bagged 35 goals around the turn of last century.

11) Celtic’s top scorer in an Old Firm clash is Jimmy McGrory, who netted 27.

12) Current Rangers manager Ally McCoist also scored 27 goals in the fixture.

13) Alfie Conn is the only player to have won Scottish Cup winners medals for both sides while playing the other.

14) The clubs hold the British record attendance for a league match when 118,567 squeezed into Ibrox on New Year’s Day, 1939.
