The Parkhead utility player has missed the last three games with a thigh injury and Deila is not expecting him to be available until after Gordon Strachan’s side play their last Group A game against Gibraltar in Faro on 11 October, three days after Poland’s visit to Hampden Park.

Ahead of Celtic’s Ladbrokes Premiership clash with Hearts on Saturday, Deila said: “Charlie, I think, will be ready to play after the national team [games].
