Celtic winger Marian Shved has moved to Belgian side KV Mechelen on a season-long loan.

The Ukranian was one of Brendan Rodgers’ last signings for the Parkhead club, completing a £2million move from Karpaty Lviv in January 2019, before being immediately loaned back to the club.

However, the 24-year-old has struggled for first team action since joining up with the Glasgow side at the start of last season, making just two appearances under Neil Lennon despite scoring on his debut in a 2-0 away win over Nõmme Kalju FC in the Champions League second qualifying round.

Shved, who is contracted to Celtic until 2023, will now attempt to reignite his career in the Belgian top flight, which kicked off its new season last week, with Mechelen taking four points from their opening two games.
