Former Ajax youth player Hahn plays for FC Dordrecht in the Netherlands’ second tier - the Eerste Divisie - but the club currently top the league, and Celtic are believed to have been monitoring the 6ft 6in goalie’s progress.

Fraser Forster is Celtic’s first-choice between the sticks, with former Dundee United ‘keeper Lukasz Zaluska providing back-up, but Lennon could make a move for the 21-year-old as he seeks more young talent he could make a profit on.

The Hoops signed Kenyan international Victor Wanyama for around £900,000 from Belgian side Beerschot AC, before selling him to Southampton for a fee in the region of £12 million.

Dutch sources have linked Hahn with top-flight clubs Feyenoord, NAC Breda and Roda JC.
